Dear Beechworth MTB guys,

every year the Gravity 12 hour has been on the weekend of my birthday. Its been a great present. I did all of them - except for last year when I broke my shoulder.

Every year, the Highland Fling has been on the same weekend. I'd really like to do the Fling too. Can't you come to some arrangement with Huw to see your events don't clash? If not this year, then in future years?

I've spoken to Hugh about this and neither of us are in a position to change our events for various valid reasons and potential clashes with other National mtb round events. The Gravity 12 Hour is based around the Saturday after Melbourne Cup day (ie- the first sat after the first tue in nov) !! A few years ago the Gravity 12 hour fell in the first week of Nov and didn't clash with the Highland Fling but now we clash for a few more years. The Highland Fling hasn't been affected with entries full ! I keep in contact with Hugh and hope that in the future we won't clash. He wants to come down and do the Gravity one year too !!
